Bounty Hunting
combat / contract income
Track and eliminate marked hostiles through the Contract Manager's bounty listings — accept, locate, engage, and collect payout plus reputation with the issuing security org or the Bounty Hunters Guild.
Best for
- solo PvE combat pilots
- escort-capable groups tackling high-risk targets
- steady combat income between other activities
- FPS combat variety via cave or facility bounties
Minimum equipment
- Combat-capable ship with weapons matched to the target tier
- Personal FPS weapon and armor for ground/cave bounties
- Shields and armor sized to the target tier
- Med pens
- Scanner-capable ship components to pinpoint targets
Steps
- Open mobiGlas (default F1) and select the Contracts app to browse the Contract Manager.
- Toggle between Verified and Unverified listings to see available bounty categories.
- Earn the Tracker Training Permit certification, unlocked at Probationary Guild Member rank, to start apprehending Very Low-Risk Targets.
- Complete the Bounty Hunter Contractor Evaluation at Hurston, or the Verified Freelancer Bounty Assessment at Crusader, to unlock that org's bounty jurisdiction.
- Pick a bounty contract matching your ship, loadout, and risk tolerance from the six ascending risk tiers.
- Accept the offer to move it to your Accepted tab and receive a trackable marker to the target's Area of Operations.
- Travel to the marked location and scan to pinpoint the target ship, or, for cave/facility bounties, locate the target on foot while clearing any guards.
- Engage and disable or eliminate the target — higher tiers add escorts and may call for a fireteam rather than solo play.
- Let the contract auto-complete on confirmed kill; payout and org/Guild reputation post automatically.
- Climb org reputation and Guild rank through repeated completions — rank promotions unlock harder contracts and apply a permanent payout multiplier.
Avoid
- Do not accept a tier above your ship or loadout's survivability — ERT-tier targets can include escorted sub-capital-class ships.
- Do not fail or abandon an accepted contract casually — both cost reputation with the issuing org.
- Do not confuse a bounty (single marked target) with a mercenary contract (area-clear objective) when picking a listing — they are separate Contract Manager categories.
